| Dambuster Triathlon Rutland Water |
18th June | First established in 2002 the Dambuster Triathlon is a well recognised feature of the triathlon calendar in the UK. Now in 2011 the Dambuster has been selected by the BTF as the National Age group Championships which also acts as a World Championships qualifier for Beijing 2011. But you don't have to be competing for British honours to race the Dambuster – all comers from novice to elite are welcome. |

| National Bird Fayre Rutland Water |
19th – 21st August | Described as the birdwatcher's Glastonbury, Birdfair encompasses the whole spectrum of the birdwatching industry whilst at the same time supporting global bird conservation. This is the event of the year if you're into birds and wildlife. There are hundreds of stands selling the latest products for wildlife enthusiasts. You'll find everything, from scopes to sculptures, binoculars to bird food, eGuides to eco-holidays! |
| Vitruvian Triathlon Rutland Water |
3rd September | If you haven't heard of the Vitruvian then where have you been?! Established in 2003, the Vitruvian started from humble beginnings and less than 250 starters in its first year. Since then the Vitruvian has grown into one of the most respected and iconic races on the UK calendar. Voted the UK's event of the year in 2007, 2008 and 2009 by the 220 Triathlon magazine awards the Vitruvian now sees 1000 competitors race annually and is significantly oversubscribed year on year so you need to get in early if you want a slot. |

25th September | A fun family bike ride in a picturesque setting. BHF are celebrating their 50th birthday this year.
